Czech Republic puts a call out for Eurovision 2019 entries!

Although having a fairly short history at the contest, the Czech Republic hasn’t been the most successful at Eurovision but after Mikolas Josef achieved 6th place at this year’s contest, things began to look up.

The nation has confirmed their participation at next year’s contest, and the search has begun. The Czech broadcaster Ceska Televize (CT) have opened the submission period for those wishing to represent the nation at next year’s contest. The submission period will continue until the 31st of October.

The rules for the submissions are fairly open, but of course the standard Eurovision rules apply, including that the songs must not have been released before September 1, 2018 as well as the songs must not exceed 3 minutes in length. It is also expected that the lead singer must be of Czech nationality.

The submissions can be sent to: escmusic@ceskatelevize.cz
